Ode To My Family

Understand the things I say, don't turn away from me,
'Cause I've spent half my life out there, you wouldn't disagree.
Do you see me? Do you see? Do you like me?
Do you like me standing there? Do you notice?
Do you know? Do you see me? Do you see me?
Does anyone care?

Unhappiness where's when I was young,
And we didn't give a damn,
'Cause we were raised,
To see life as fun and take it if we can.
My mother, my mother,
She hold me, she hold me, when I was out there.
My father, my father,
He liked me, oh, he liked me. Does anyone care?

Understand what I've become, it wasn't my design.
And people ev'rywhere think, something better than I am.
But I miss you, I miss, 'cause I liked it,
'Cause I liked it, when I was out there. Do you know this?
Do you know you did not find me. You did not find.
Does anyone care?

Unhappiness where's when I was young,
And we didn't give a damn,
'Cause we were raised,
To see life as fun and take it if we can.
My mother, my mother,
She hold me, she hold me, when I was out there.
My father, my father,
He liked me, oh, he liked me.

Does anyone care?... [X9]

Mend this thread that's gone askew

Joint Polytechnic-SAF Diploma Scheme.

This is how I see it:

3 years of chosen Poly course + 2 years of National Service + 4 years of Army bond into an allocated unit = Tuition fees covered + Allowance covered (Salary)

What is a unit? It is a specialised skill acquired from NS. Detail here. The final 4 years can be considered a sign-on. SAF will allocate you into the unit. You could choose but they could change it.

The reason behind this scheme it to address post-secondary graduates who are keen in having a career in the military. But their 'What is JPSDS' answer seems a little odd to me. It seems more of a money grant then an opportunity for future military careers.

In the Army I would join, I wish to be part of the infantry but I guess that could be a little too high for me. Army Intelligence seems like a cool job but I'm also attracted by Combat Engineers and Signals & Commands. And of course, there is the Medic. Guards would be an obvious one. I thought I could be of good use in OCS or SISPEC. But I must consider what I lack right now.

One way we can clearly see my 'disadvantages' is through medium analysis. First medium, psychologically, OCS/SISPEC needs leadership. The past two years have been a shadow period of time. Leadership for me was shaky. Second medium, physically, do I have the endurance, strength, the power to overcome? And those are just ywo mediums, what about academically? What about mentally? It is not really identical to the psychological medium.

All I know is that I need to get myself back.

Born in 1977, Part 2: Smashing Buttons v2

Once again, we review the NINTENDO ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM. Hailed as one of the most innovative gaming consoles, the NES never fails to entertain hearts till this day! [As evident from below :P, and here.] In any rate, let us proceed back in time!!!

Well, after a stint in Ice Hockey. I've gotten some kicks to achieve something higher, something in the skies...

And there was Ultimate Air Combat!

From jungles to the seas to the wasteland, you wreck havoc to stop terrorism. Such a novel idea that many believed it would never be a reality.

SHOOT IT DOWN ACE!

All will fall prey! Mwahahah!

With intuitive controls, accompanied with a simple storyline, Ultimate Air Combat has propelled the skies to more than just a limit. It is a battleground!!

You Gotta Come Back To Go There

Let's try this old skool.

I feel worried. My class' chalet is way overdue. My teacher was suggesting that I should get someone to check in on her behalf on that day. However, the 'someone' must be 18! SHUCKS!!! I mean a mere 2 years later, that won't be a problem! Haha! I was thinking of getting my brother to fill those shoes until I remembered the thousand of things I owe him. He's not gonna budge in this situation! Furthermore, Costa Sands is pretty far for a lone task of just checking in. My brother will run bonkers! And most of all, I don't want to screw this up. I need it to be right. Ms Lee's watching. I guess I was born too late huh?

I feel 'cheap' too. The chalet budget is quite... slightly... no, it's overpriced. It's a 2 days, one night stint. Originally, the price was below 200. But I guess everyone happened to be so carefree during these holidays so much so everyone would sleep over at the first night! Nearly the whole class! So it was decided that we should book 2 chalets for the first night and have a duplex chalet for a 3nd night. But... the cost pushed the bill to a whopping 271 bucks. That's about 6 a person from a 4 a person. AND WE HAVE YET TO INCLUDE THE FOOD! Don't you think it's too expensive?

But I feel happy too. For a class I hardly knew, for a class I hardly fit in, for a class that has always understood my insanity, it came as a surprise that everyone was still looking forward for a chalet half-run by me. And I thought all those stumbles and hiccups spelt over for me. I kinda liked my class that has liked me throughout. Wow. :)

Start focusing on the only thing you have to do. Do not let it go until it is ready to be let go.

Thanks to you? Nope. Thanks to ALL of you.
